In 1984, Montgomery County became one of the first county goverments in the United States to offer its Court and Land Records for public access. Using dial-up modems and phone lines, the public was able to lookup a wide variety of court and land records. Introduced 10 years ago, the Internet has made it possible for anyone anywhere to access County court and land records.
